Welcome to Main Street Winamac

Welcome to Winamac, Indiana! Established in 1839 as Pulaski County's charming county seat, this town’s name springs from the Potawatomi word for "catfish." Picture a gathering of pioneers in a log cabin along the Tippecanoe River, where they decided to name their new home "Winnemack."

Winamac flourished, hosting a government land office from 1839 to 1857 and officially becoming a town in 1868. It even made headlines in 1980 with the Ford Pinto Trial!

Explore the rich history with landmarks like the stunning Pulaski County Courthouse, a Romanesque Revival gem built in the mid-1890s, featuring a striking 106-foot clock tower.

Today, Winamac boasts delightful parks, eateries, and unique shops. Don’t miss out on attractions like the scenic Tippecanoe River State Park and the fascinating Kersting's Cycle Center and Museum. Whether you're a history buff or an outdoor enthusiast, Winamac has something for everyone!
